Terms of Use

Web Scanner: Broken Link Checker & Security Audit (Chrome extension). Effective October 7, 2026.

These terms apply when you install or use Web Scanner or buy a Pro license. Web Scanner is published by Önder Bakır, an individual developer based in Turkey ("we"). If you do not agree, do not use the extension.

1. Scan only sites you are allowed to check

Use Web Scanner only on websites you own, manage, or have permission to test. The checks are passive: the extension sends ordinary requests and reads public responses. It never sends attack payloads. You are responsible for how you use it, including request volume settings such as concurrency and delay, and for following the rules of the sites you scan.

2. Results are guidance, not a guarantee

Grades, findings, fix snippets and reports are automated, based on what is publicly visible at the time of the scan. They can miss problems or report things that are not real problems. They are not a security certification or a compliance assessment. Confirm each finding and test every change before you apply it to a live site.

3. Free and Pro

The free version is provided at no cost. Pro Lifetime is a one-time payment that unlocks the Pro features of Web Scanner for as long as we offer the extension, including updates to it. One license may be activated on up to 5 browsers and is for use by one person or one team of a business. You may not share, resell or publish license keys, or try to bypass the license check.

4. Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles prices, taxes and receipts. If Pro does not work for you, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase by replying to your receipt email. Refunded licenses are deactivated.

5. Your data

Scan results, history and settings stay in your browser. See the privacy policy for exactly what the extension sends and where.

6. No warranty, limited liability

Web Scanner is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or data, or damage caused by acting on scan results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pro.

7. Changes

We may update the extension and these terms. When the terms change, the effective date above changes too. Continuing to use the extension after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. Questions: reply to your Lemon Squeezy receipt or open an issue.
